September 18, 2018 -- Today, Southwest Airlines (SWA) Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) rejected a tentative agreement put forward for a referendum vote. According to the union’s National Executive Council, the group rejected the contract because the economic package overall falls short. August 31, 2018 -- I hope your summer has been safe and enjoyable. We have had a productive and engaging year thus far and I can’t believe we will soon be entering fall of 2018. In August your officers and representatives were very busy conducting a membership survey following the rejected tentative agreement (TA) at Alaska Airlines (ASA), as well as a 13 station roadshow and kicking off a TA Ratification Referendum at Southwest Airlines (SWA).
August 24, 2018 -- One of the strong messages we discussed at each station during our Tentative Agreement (TA) Roadshow was to be on the lookout for Company messages taking the following form: “If you vote no and this TA is rejected, then [something bad] will occur."
July 19, 2018 -- The AMFA–ASA and Legacy Virgin America (VX) Referendum concluded today and we are pleased with the voter-turnout for this vote. The AMFA-ASA membership voted to reject the Transition and Seniority Integration Agreements Package. Thank you to the 83.57% of the ASA membership who participated in this system-wide vote.
